On 19 and 20 May, BrestPort attended the trade fair organised by Seanergy in Nantes, a major event for players in the marine renewable energy sector in France and Europe. The 2026 event highlighted the strengths of the Port of Brest and the region’s ambitions for the development of the marine renewable energy sector.
On this occasion, Christophe Chabert, Chairman of the Executive Board of BrestPort, spoke at the round table discussion entitled ‘Delivering harbour infrastructure for offshore wind: what role should stakeholders play?’, which focused on the role of port infrastructure and cooperation between public and private sector stakeholders in the growth of the offshore wind industry.
This investment is part of BrestPort’s ongoing efforts to support the energy transition and strengthen Brest’s position as a leading industrial and logistics hub for marine renewable energy projects along the Atlantic coast.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, BrestPort and the Brest Maritime Agency (AMB) also signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at initiating discussions on the development of MRE-related activities at the Port of Brest.
